Production lead times at Pigmento Coolectivo vary depending on the type of work, the materials selected and the production status at the time the order is placed.
On this page, we explain how these lead times work, what influences them, and how to plan an order realistically.
Our objective is to ensure quality, consistency and respect for the artwork — and that requires time.
What influences production lead times
Each order is assessed on an individual basis. Among the factors that may influence production lead times are:
- Type of work (single print, series, edition)
- Size and number of prints
- Selected paper (in stock or made to order)
- Need for preliminary proofs
- Technical adjustments and quality control
- Current production volume at the studio
For this reason, the lead times presented are indicative and not automatic.
Indicative production lead times
The values below serve as a general reference, assuming correctly prepared files and materials available in stock.
- Simple individual prints:
typically 1 to 3 business days - Series and editions:
typically 3 to 5 business days - Works requiring a preliminary proof:
the production lead time starts after proof approval and is typically 3 to 5 business days
These lead times may vary during periods of higher demand or for technically more demanding projects.

Proofs and approvals
Whenever a printed proof is requested, it forms an integral part of the process and impacts the final lead time.
- The production lead time only starts after proof approval
- Additional adjustments may require a new proof cycle
- Proofs are recommended for critical or larger-scale works
Urgent orders and specific deadlines
If your order has a critical date (exhibition, gift, event), we recommend contacting us in advance before placing the order.
Not all works can be produced on an urgent basis, and the possibility of expediting depends on:
- on the type of work,
- on the materials involved,
- on the production workload at the time.
Quality and the integrity of the artwork are never compromised in order to meet unrealistic deadlines.
Production vs shipping
It is important to distinguish:
- Production lead time — time required to print and prepare the order
- Shipping time — transit time after dispatch
Shipping times depend on the carrier and the destination and are detailed on the Shipping, Packaging and Delivery page.
Final note:
Whenever you have questions about lead times, date compatibility or the need for proofs, we are available to help.
Good planning is the best way to ensure a result worthy of the artwork.
