A quick and simple guide to help you order your prints at Pigmento
Margin for error…
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is highly recommended that you include a margin (even a small one) when ordering your prints.
This margin mainly serves the purpose of making the handling of the prints easier, which in turn helps to preserve the longevity of your printed work. In addition, having a margin simplifies the framing process and allows, for example, for numbering and signing limited edition pieces.
Equally important, the margin also serves strategically as a protective buffer in case of any damage to the piece. By extending beyond the edges of the printed area, it acts as a sacrificial zone, absorbing potential and natural wear over time.
For the best results on prints smaller than A4, we recommend a minimum margin of 3 to 5 mm.
For A4 prints, a margin of 5 to 10 mm is recommended. When moving up to A3, a minimum margin of 10 mm is advised. For A2 prints and larger, the recommended margin is also between 10 and 15 mm.
These are minimum recommended margins. You are, of course, free to choose the margin size that suits you best – or even order your print without any margin at all. The margin is included in the final cost of your print.
Please note that the margin recommendations mentioned above are intended as guidelines, not strict rules. If you prefer borderless prints, that is of course absolutely possible.

HOW TO ORDER?
STEP I – FILE UPLOAD
Send your files via our Smash link at https://pigmento.fromsmash.com (limit of 250GB per transfer, available for 30 days).
You may add your name in the Smash message box (for internal reference only), as well as any information you consider relevant for the production of your order.

STEP II – SPECIFICATIONS
Send an email over to info@pigmentocoolectivo.com with the following content
- Invoicing info: Name and address for invoicing. VAT number is not mandatory but advisable
- Shipping details: Name and delivery address for your order.
- Paper and printing: Please specify the type of paper, the size, and the number of prints you would like.
- Additional information: Include any other details relevant to the work you’re ordering.
STEP III – CONFIRMATION
Please wait for our confirmation. We will send you an Order Note (NE). If everything is as requested, you may then proceed with the payment.
Payment can be made via Multibanco Reference, MB WAY or Bank Transfer (for bank transfers, we kindly ask you to send us proof of payment). We may occasionally offer PayPal as a payment option, but due to the high fees charged by the service, this is not always possible.
Production will begin only after we receive payment confirmation. Never before. !
